How to read this page
Pick a procedure. You'll see every hospital in the market that publishes a negotiated rate for it, ranked by % of Medicare within confidence tiers. The market median (across hospitals with the strongest data) becomes your opening negotiating anchor.
Two signals to read alongside the price:
- Payer coverage — a median from 21 payer contracts is a better picture of a hospital's real market rate than a median from 1 payer.
- Contract structure — a hospital that only publishes percent-of-billed is a very different counterparty than one that publishes case rates: the first exposes you to chargemaster inflation, the second is a predictable fixed price.
1. Pick a procedure code

Aim below the market median for your opening; use the tiered table below to see which hospitals sit under it.
2. Hospital comparison
Ranked by % of Medicare, cheapest first, within confidence tiers. Payer coverage is the number of distinct commercial payers whose contracted rates the hospital publishes for this code. Higher payer count → stronger picture of the hospital's real market rate.
